St. Kilian Women’s Guild held their annual Evening of Recollection for Lent on March 10, 2022. The event was open to all women of the parish again this year. The Mass was celebrated in our Church by Father Frank Zero, Associate Pastor at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Lindenhurst. Deacon Mark Wetzel, the Guild Moderator, assisted at Mass. Inspirational music was provided by Paul Phinney and Margaret Barrett. Father Frank offered a beautiful reflection after Mass, suggesting we consider this Lent as a season of demolition of our old habits and construction of a stronger life of holiness. Lovely Lenten prayer booklets and Easter cross bookmarks were distributed to those in attendance. A free-will donation was requested to benefit St. Kilian Parish Outreach. We are very grateful for the generosity of all those who contributed. The Women' Guild Committee Presented a Donation to Nina Petersen, Director of Parish Social Ministry/Outreach. The Guild would like to thank everyone who helped make this a successful, spiritual Lenten gathering.
